SKIN
- Do you suffer from eczema, acne or rosacea?
- Do you have wrinkles, eye bags or uneven pigmentation?
- Would you like a younger, fresher complexion?
Skin is an area in which food and lifestyle can make a huge and pretty rapid difference. When you eat badly, it shows immediately in your skin. It becomes patchy, spotty and dry. Stress too takes its toll on your skin, leaving you looking drawn and tired, with puffy eyes or dark circles underneath.
Poor digestion both starves your skin of essential nutrients and leads to toxins being thrown out through your skin (aka spots). Hormonal imbalances including PCOS, oestrogen dominance, metabolic syndrome and menopause can also impact negatively on your complexion.
The thing is, poor skin is difficult to hide. You literally have to walk around wearing your problem for all to see. Fortunately, an expert assessment, followed by a carefully designed food and supplement programme can make a huge difference. Hypnotherapy is useful not just to boost motivation to stick to this, but to reduce stress.
We offer both general skin improvement and anti-ageing programmes and also specialist programmes for eczema, acne and rosacea.

RESULTS PROGRAMME – 3 x follow up consultations.
After your 1 hr Initial Assessment Consultation during which your skin and general health are analysed, reasons for skin problems discussed and a goal set, you return for a 1 hr follow-up appointment. You receive your Treatment Tool Pack, including individual skin improvement food plan, shopping list, recipes and home hypnotherapy CD.
This programme is longer and includes more support and supervision. At each of your three follow-up consultations your skin will be analysed and your progress tracked. Plus appointments 2 and 3 will include 45 minutes each of one-to-one hypnotherapy, to increase motivation to stick to your skin improvement plan, reduce stress and improve digestion if these are contributory factors.
Suitable for: More serious skin problems such as eczema and rosacea and for those who would like support and supervision to put their new eating plan into practise.
‘I had eczema as a child and still get little flare ups when I don’t look after myself. My real challenge came 11 years ago, when I got rosacea. I tried cream after cream and nothing worked. Only when I changed what I was eating did it finally improve.’
‘So, if you have a skin problem, I have been there. I know how confidence sapping it can be. I also know how food can transform your skin. Not that food can do it all. I got rosacea at a traumatic time in my life because stress and emotions can have a huge impact on skin.
‘The answer? My combination of nutrition to ‘feed’ the skin and hypnotherapy to keep you on track, reduce stress and improve digestion’.
Hellena Marsh, 27, a marketing manager from Tunbridge Wells.
Hellena came to see me with a history of acne. She had been prescribed antibiotics and steroid skin creams without success. Her GP had put her on Roacutane, but while it had made some difference to her skin, Hellena felt it was affecting her mood negatively.
Hellena’s poor skin was also damaging her self-esteem and causing her to comfort eat. ‘My skin really depresses me. I try to cover it up with make-up, but it’s never really clear. I find it so frustrating,’ she said.
For Hellena, I designed a skin improvement food plan, backed up with hypnotherapy to lift her confidence and mood. With her GPs agreement, Hellena stopped taking the Roacutane. After three months on the food plan, Hellena’s skin was clear. The hypnotherapy had also reduced her comfort eating. She had also lost a stone and was training for a marathon. ‘I feel so much better,’ she said.
