Food and mood are intimately linked. When we are feeling low or tired, we can reach for heavy comfort food which gives us a temporary lift, but doesn’t solve the problem. When we are stressed we may drink too much coffee or alcohol, while trouble sleeping not only makes you feel barely human, it is also linked to being overweight.

Mind, the mental health charity, advises a change of diet as a treatment for depression. And many of our clients would rather try a natural cure, instead of drugs. The problem is when you are not feeling your best it’s difficult to take the trouble to eat properly.

This is where our mood, stress and sleep programmes come in. All begin with a tailored food plan to feed your mind and body the raw materials to help it deal with stress better. Stress also interrupts digestion, often leading to symptoms like wind and indigestion and preventing you getting all the nutrients from your food, further depleting you of stress-busting raw materials.

Your food plan is also designed to help you make more of your natural mood-elevating hormones (serotonin and dopamine) and calm the mind for sleep. I then add hypnotherapy to reduce anxiety, slow down ‘hamster wheel thinking’ and improve sleep.

Initial Assessment + 1 x follow-up consultation

After your 1 hr Initial Assessment Consultation during which mood, stress and sleep, as well as your general health are analysed, reasons for problems discussed and a goal set, you return for a 1 hr follow-up appointment. You receive your Treatment Tool Pack, including individual improvement food plan, shopping list, recipes and a home hypnotherapy CD.

Suitable for: Minor sleep and stress problems.

RESULTS PROGRAMME – 3 x follow up consultations.

After your 1 hr Initial Assessment Consultation during which your mood, stress and sleep and general health are analysed, reasons for problems discussed and a goal set, you return for a 1 hr follow-up appointment. You receive your Treatment Tool Pack, including individual improvement food plan, shopping list, recipes and home hypnotherapy CD.

This programme is longer and includes more support and supervision. At each of your three follow-up consultations your progress will be tracked. Plus appointments 2 and 3 will include 45 minutes each of one-to-one hypnotherapy, to increase motivation to stick to your food plan, teach stress management, reduce anxiety, lift mood and self-esteem and improve sleep.

Suitable for: Highly-stressed people, mild anxiety/depression, recent sleep problems.

TOTAL TRANSFORMATION PROGRAMME – 5 x follow up consultations.

After your 1 hr Initial Assessment Consultation during which mood, stress and sleep, as well as uyour general health is analysed, reasons for the problem discussed and a goal set, you return for a 1 hr follow-up appointment. You receive your Treatment Tool Pack, including individual improvement food plan, shopping list, recipes and home hypnotherapy CD.

This programme is designed to allow plenty of time to gently but effectively address really deep-seated mood, stress, anxiety and sleep issues. It includes a high level of support and supervision as at each of your five follow-up consultations your progress will be tracked. Plus appointments 2, 3, 4 and 5 will include 45 minutes each of one-to-one hypnotherapy.
Each session of hypnotherapy is in itself deeply relaxing and stress-busting. Plus, the aim is to teach self-hypnosis skills that you can continue to use when you have finished your programme.

Suitable for: Longstanding and complex mood, stress and sleep problems. Also, good for anxiety, panic and fast heart beat.
